There was a protest going past my balcony last weekend against the Envigado government’s plan to demolish a nearby market. Hundreds hit the streets to make a statement against the gentrification and the loss of jobs that would accompany the plans.
I drifted through the crowd photographing what I could. Everyone seemed to be in a peaceful though defiant mood. There were many signs, some printed some made by hand, and a few different chants. The police were at the tail end of the march.
